You must be 18 years or older to create a teacher or administrative account — student accounts are created and managed by authorized school staff. Full age and account requirements are outlined in our Privacy Policy
Educational institutions must have proper authorization — your school or district must approve the use of Polaris Education before accounts are created or listening sessions are conducted with students
Terms are subject to updates with notice — we will notify active users via email when these terms change. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of updated terms

Your use of Polaris Education must comply with these guidelines:

Respect student privacy and confidentiality — do not share student responses, recordings, or identifiable data outside of authorized school personnel
Maintain academic integrity — use listening sessions and reports for their intended purpose of improving school climate and student experience
Use platform features responsibly — do not misuse session tools, generate misleading reports, or manipulate data exports
Follow educational best practices — ensure listening sessions are conducted in appropriate settings with proper student consent and parental notification as required by your institution

FERPA compliance requirements — student education records are protected and only accessible to authorized school personnel with a legitimate educational interest
COPPA guidelines for student data — we do not collect personal information from students under 13 without verifiable parental consent or school authorization acting in loco parentis
State privacy laws — we comply with applicable state-level student data privacy regulations, including but not limited to laws governing the collection, storage, and sharing of student information
